Gofun Nail polish is made in Kyoto, Japan. This innovative water-based nail polish uses a traditional Japanese pigment created from crushed scallop shells. It’s acetone-free, odour-free, and breathable.

The Gofun Nail series was created by Ueba Esou, a Japanese painting store in Kyoto which has been producing traditional Japanese paint, traditionally used in Nihonga since 1751. The nail polish is made from gofun, the white pigment of a scallop’s shell and is actually good for your nails. The colour is rich and vibrant and dries quickly. There are no harmful substances, it is odour-free and can be removed with neat alcohol avoiding the need for acetone which can be very drying for nails. Uefa Esou received a Good Design Award for Gofun Nail in 2015.

Available in 12 iconic colours.
